Ann Elizabeth Quinn, M.B.A.

With over 15 years of experience advising privately held companies and non-profits, Ms. Ann Elizabeth Quinn’s consulting practice concentrates in the areas of strategic planning, organizational development, change management, and executive mentoring. She has spent most of her career working with organizations that are facing the challenges of developing and implementing an organizational strategy, facing a funding event, or expanding new and existing service lines. Ms. Quinn was recognized as one of the top 40 metro area business professionals under the age of 40 by the Baltimore Business Journal. She is the immediate past Chair and current board member for the Greater Baltimore Technology Council, a member of the Young Professionals Committee at Good Samaritan Hospital, the Treasurer of the Roland Park Elementary Middle School PTA, and a member of the Alumni Council for The Mercersburg Academy.
Ms. Quinn received both her Master of Business Administration degree in Marketing and Bachelors of Business Administration in Marketing from the Loyola University Maryland.
Joe Mechlinski
entreQuest, Inc | President and Co-founder
Mr. Joe Mechlinski is the co-founder and president of EntreQuest, Inc., a sales development firm that helps increase revenue for small-to-midsized businesses that are growing or want to grow. Prior to EntreQuest, Mr. Mechlinski co-founded a lead generation company, a sales and marketing firm and an entrepreneurial development company, which grew rapidly to more than 150 employees in three years. He actively participates on several boards that reflect his passion for education and mentorship in the community, including The Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Maryland, The Baltimore Urban Debate League, and The National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame – Greater Baltimore Chapter. He has also sat on the board for the b4students foundation, The League for People with Disabilities, and The Alumni Executive Committee for the Johns Hopkins University.
Mr. Mechlinski was a member of the National Speakers Association and the Greater Baltimore Committee’s 2007 LEADERship program. He graduated from The Johns Hopkins University with a bachelor’s degree in Economics.
George J. Nemphos
Duane Morris LLP | Managing Partner of the Baltimore Office
Mr. George J. Nemphos is the managing partner of Duane Morris' Baltimore office and the Corporate Marketing Partner for the Corporate Practice Group. He is also a member of the firm's national governing Partners Board. He practices in the areas of corporate and securities law. He has extensive experience in representing private and public companies, venture capitalists, angel investors and private equity funds. In 2001, Mr. Nemphos was named one of the "40 Under 40" business leaders in Baltimore by the Baltimore Business Journal. He is a graduate of the 2006 GBC Leadership program- a program that handpicks Baltimore area leaders from business, nonprofits and the government to become strategists for the future of the region. In addition, in September 2008, Institutional Investor named Mr. Nemphos as one of "10 Rising Stars of Private Equity and M&A Law." He is also listed in the 2009 edition of Maryland Super Lawyers.
Admitted to practice in Maryland, Mr. Nemphos is a 1994 magna cum laude graduate of the University of Baltimore, School of Law, where he was a member of the Heusiler Honor Society and a member of the Tax Moot Court team. He also holds an LL.M. in Taxation from the Georgetown University Law Center and is a graduate of Boston University.
Katharine Giacalone
KGWorks | President
Ms. Katharine Giacalone is President of KGWorks, a successful management consulting firm based in the Washington, DC area. She has more than 25 years of experience in management, human resources, organizational effectiveness, training and development for major public school districts, real estate investment trust companies, non-profit organizations, biotech companies and Fortune 500 corporations. Ms. Giacalone was the Vice President of Human Resources for Celera Genomics prior to launching her consulting business. Before joining Celera, she spent 10 years managing multiple aspects of human resources for Marriott International. She serves on the Advisory Board of a venture capital firm and is the Secretary on the Board of Directors for a non-profit organization in Bethesda, Maryland. She has been an adjunct professor at George Washington University. Her management tips have been published by The Washington Business Journal, The American Society of Women Accountants, The Society for Human Resource Management and others. Ms. Giacalone has appeared frequently on national radio shows and as a guest contributor on Washington, DC’s WUSA-9.
Ms. Giacalone received the Master of Science degree in Organization Development from the Johns Hopkins University and the Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Hofstra University.
Anne Artmeier Balduzzi

In 1996, Ms. Anne Artmeier Balduzzi established her marketing consulting firm, Accelerate Partners LLC, to primarily assist web-based start-up companies. Since then she has advised and assisted national and international technology companies, early stage ventures, law firms, political candidates, and other businesses on how to effectively position, launch, and market their companies, products or services in an evolving information age and dynamic business climate.
As an early pioneer of online services, Ms. Balduzzi began her career in 1983 where she worked on the nationwide launch and marketing of the first online consumer service in North America. Operated as a joint venture between AT&T and Knight-Ridder, Viewtron paved the way for online banking, shopping, auctions, and many more services. She was later hired by America Online/AOL (formerly known as Quantum Computer Services), where she reported to and worked with Steve Case (former Chairman of AOL Time Warner) on product development and strategic marketing initiatives. At the start of AOL's joint venture with Apple, Ms. Balduzzi joined Apple as a Product Manager and relocated to their Silicon Valley headquarters to direct the creation, launch, and marketing of AppleLink-Personal Edition, an online service that later evolved into AOL. Years later, she moved back to the East Coast to work as a marketing director for two Baltimore based corporate law firms.
Gerald H. Kaiz
Industrial Training Corporation | Founder and Chairman of the Board
Mr. Gerald H. Kaiz is one of the founders of ITC and served as Executive Vice President and Chairman of the Board for almost twenty years from 1977 to 1996. He was active in the company's sales, marketing and operation efforts. In this capacity he applied the principles of his background in engineering to the development and marketing of sound training programs to over 1,000 clients. Prior to ITC, Mr. Kaiz served as Training Consulting Manager at NUS Training Corporation for a decade from 1967 to 1977. He started his illustrious career as a Senior Scientist, first with Westinghouse Bettis Atomic Power Laboratory in 1962 and then with Martin Marietta in 1966. In 1996 Mr. Kaiz founded Alf Consulting to provide marketing research, sales training and strategic planning services to companies.
Mr. Kaiz received a Master of Science degree in Nuclear Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics also from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
