Ann Lansinger

President

Ms. Lansinger came on board at the Emerging Technology Centers in 1999 with over 10 years experience in the incubation industry. She has instituted a program of technology commercialization and venture creation, working with NASA Goddard Space Flight Center and several universities in and around Baltimore, incorporating and often innovating industry best practices.

She was the Founding President of the Maryland Business Incubation Association (MBIA) from 2000-2003, and serves on the Boards of the National Business Incubation Association (NBIA), MBIA, Early Stage East, and the Baltimore Bioscience Coalition Workforce Investment Board. Ms. Lansinger is a Visitor to the MD Bio Board, is the Event Co-Chair for Bio Life Tech 2003, Local Coordinator for the National Association of Seed Venture Funds Annual Meeting, and serves on numerous committees which support technology interests in the region.

Neil R. Davis

VP for Operations

Neil R. Davis is the Vice President of Operations for the Emerging Technology Centers (ETC). Mr. Davis’ responsibilities at ETC include planning, budgeting and administration; new client recruitment, including marketing and public relations; and, direct business assistance to client companies.

Prior to joining ETC, Mr. Davis had hands-on management experience in domestic and international settings with large and small publicly-owned firms in which he had responsibilities for marketing and sales, operations, business development and an ISO 9001:2000 quality program. His business development responsibilities included both start-ups and acquisitions. He has held a variety of senior management positions with Browning-Ferris Industries and Environmental Elements Corporation.

Mr. Davis graduated from Lafayette College in 1975 with a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering and from the University of Maryland in 1981 with an M.B.A. degree with a concentration in Finance. He is a registered Professional Engineer in the State of Maryland and serves on the Advisory Board of Johns Hopkins University’s part-time Environmental Engineering Graduate Program.
     


Fulya Gursel
Associate Director of Marketing

Ms. Gursel provides business advisory services to ETC clients in the areas of marketing and communications, and provides direct assistance in the areas of market research, market strategy and business data collection and organization. She also is responsible for maintaining ETC’s portfolio of client resource materials (guidelines, impact studies, production reports, marketing collateral, etc.) and making these materials available to clients when needed.

Prior to joining ETC, she worked at Isko Weaving Company in Turkey where she was responsible for sales and marketing in several European markets. Ms. Gursel holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing from the University of Baltimore and a B.S degree in Textile Engineering from Istanbul Technical University.
