Seminars and Workshops
The ETC holds regular seminars and workshops to educate entrepreneurs about various aspects of business. Generally free, such programs run from an hour to a full day. Topics run the gamut from funding and loan programs, business development, and HR/benefits to licensing, tech transfer, and product management.
The ETC also provides access to a host of other business-related seminars and workshops held throughout the region. Please visit our events page or sign up for our newsletter to learn about the upcoming events.
Internships
ETC partners with the Johns Hopkins Carey Business School to match business students with internship opportunities in ETC companies. They have a number of students looking to gain additional experience through internships and contributions to the local business community.
As interns, students gain functional and industry experience, acquire and refine skills, and make meaningful connections. Employers not only benefit from the extra resources but also are afforded the opportunity to evaluate interns on the basis of their performance and potential, essentially giving them a “trial run” for full-time employment. Networking and Referrals
Good business relationships are critical to a company’s success. The ETC encourages contact and collaboration among tenant companies – and facilitates key introductions to businesses outside the ETC – through both informal gatherings and more structured meetings.
Library
The ETC maintains a library of business literature, reference books, and other materials that can help tenant companies to address specific issues that may arise.
